FAQs

Q. Is attending an HBCU required to apply?

Not at all! We welcome all students who can contribute a diverse perspective to the entertainment industry.

Do you have to be a communications or theater major?

No, we want all majors! Our partners hire interns across all areas of entertainment including law, finance, tech, and sports.

Q: Am I guaranteed an internship if I apply?

No. Not everyone who applies will be selected, and even finalists must apply for internships. There is no automatic placement.

Q: Does EICOP place students with companies?

No. You must apply for specific internship opportunities through our partners once you become a finalist. The companies make the final decision on who they interview and hire.

Very. We receive thousands of applications each year. But don’t count yourself out—many of our participants applied more than once.

Q: Is housing provided?

Yes—but only for students who are selected as finalists and receive internship offers from one of our partner companies. Housing is only included if you’re hired.

Q: Can I reapply if I didn’t get in?

Absolutely. As long as you’re still eligible, we encourage you to apply again.
