The Entertainment Industry College Outreach Program’s (EICOP) Support HBCU Futures Campaign is a national call to action: to invest in, uplift, and safeguard HBCU students as they pursue transformative careers in entertainment, media, tech, and the creative arts. These fields not only shape culture—they shape the future.
We are mobilizing industry leaders, institutions, creatives, and changemakers to stand with us in ensuring that HBCU students are not only seen and supported, but equipped to thrive in fields where their voices and visions are urgently needed. The Power of Collective Voices
Support HBCU Futures is a campaign of The Entertainment Industry College Outreach Program (EICOP). EICOP is an educational arts and workforce development program dedicated to preparing and positioning talented students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority-Serving Institutions for successful careers in the entertainment, media, and arts industries.
We bridge the gap between academic study and real-world application, making it possible for students to succeed in the global creative economy. Our flagship HBCU IN LA® program is designed to create pathways into the entertainment industry in Los Angeles.
Our mission aligns with the James C. Stewart Charitable Foundation’s commitment to equity, education, and the arts by removing barriers to entry in these creative industries. To date, HBCU IN LA® has engaged more than 1,000 students through internships, mentorships, workshops and industry-experiences, making a measurable difference in the lives of individual students, and the broader media landscape.
