About HBCU IN LA

In 2017 under the Obama administration, EICOP joined forces with the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities and launched its signature program, HBCU in LA.

The HBCU in LA Internship Program provides a select group of diverse student leaders the opportunity to participate in a paid 8-10-week immersive internship. Providing experience essential for launching and leveraging a career inside Hollywood’s coveted inner circle.

The program focuses on placing talented students in competitive internships with major studios, networks, production and talent agencies.

The BN Black In Entertainment Panel was a huge success! 🎥💬

Hosted by the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha and EICOP Student Ambassador Zachary Bell at FAMU. We were inspired by Bria Dickerson, a 2020 & 2021 EICOP alum from Hampton University, and Kayla Parker, a 2018 & 2019 EICOP alum from FAMU.
